Welcome to Folly!
We, at Folly, are passionate about one thing…that is, life’s little pleasures:
It doesn’t have to cost a fortune…but it makes all the difference.
Folly: noun, pronunciation: \fol-ee\
Syn: caper, escapade, mirth, extravagance, luxury, frolic, lark, romp, caprice, whimsy, gaiety, frivolity, giddiness.
In fact, Folly did begin life as a goddess… “the goddess from whom man derives all mirth and cheerfulness!”
IN PRAISE OF FOLLY, written by Erasmus in 1511, applauds her as a creature, foolish and frivolous, but full of laughter and sweetness.
As he wrote, “I charm away woes and make life bearable. So, live and drink lustily, my most excellent disciples of Folly.”
